If you're anything like us, our morning coffee has been passing the baton to our afternoon cocktail or evening wine. Recently on a walk, I saw a mother with her three young kids standing in their cul de sac. Kids were climbing on a car, mother had a wine in hand. As our eyes met, we both laughed out loud.
Living during an era of quarantine has given birth to one of our favourite new terms, the Quarantini. Staying home and self-isolating led one American to mix one part Vitamin C (health) with one part alcohol (sanity), and voila, the Quarantini was born!
This original, 'Traditional Quarantini' literally consists of a base of vodka or gin and a powdered vitamin C supplement (like Berocca). Since then the drink has evolved, limited only by one's imagination and palette. The other common characteristic has less to do with taste and everything to do with how it is shared - with your isolation family or in front of a conference call with work colleagues or friends (day of week and time of day irrelevant).
So what Quarantini are you and how does this translate to your #WFH style? Here are our Top 5 Quarantini's and their outfit counterpart (because we all love matching our outfits with our beverages don't we!)
1. Classic Citrus
2. Mellow Martini
