Writer, director & artist, Harmony Korine is one of the most controversial, independent filmmakers working today. Korine is an avid painter and photographer. His paintings, like his films, work to simultaneously entice and repel his viewers, embracing dichotomies. While his paintings can be found in institutions such as the MoMA and the Whitney, the three archival paintings [Blue Check Success, Nudity Clause Line, Photo Spirit Looper] featured on the anniversary PS1 were shown at a 2014 exhibition at the Gagosian.
